SUMMARY:Public Reading of Scripture at Sage Chapel
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we partake in the spiritual practice of hearing Scripture being read aloud in the beautiful Sage Chapel\, and snag a free lunch!  \nWhy join in Scripture being read aloud? \n\nIt is a Biblical practice\nIn Scripture we often see God’s people receive God’s Word together as a community.\nReading the Bible should be like eating food\nWe should enjoy our spiritual food the same way we enjoy our physical food!\nWe need a better Bible strategy\nCollege is a key time to read through the entire Bible at least once. Many of us want to read more of the Bible\, but few have a disciplined strategy to succeed. Reading/hearing Scripture aloud in community makes it easy as you listen while you eat and find a small community of people who journey through the Bible with you over the year.\n\nJoin us Wednesdays at Sage Chapel (or Fridays on the Knoll) to hear God speak\, live out God’s Word\, and grow closer to God.

SUMMARY:Public Reading of Scripture
DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday mornings for our Public Reading of Scripture on the Knoll! \n  \nWhy do we think it’s important to read the scriptures aloud\, together? Well\, turns out this is the way that early Christians initially received and continued to share the good news about Jesus Christ….and tell the epic\, ever-expansive story that God chooses to reveal through ridiculously –ordinary- people. \n  \nWe won’t shy away from grisly and confusing passages\, because we trust that wrestling through the text in its fullness –together- is worth it. \n  \nCuriosity piqued? Grab a friend and join us this Friday at 9am \n  \nHope to see you on the Knoll!

SUMMARY:Public Reading of Scripture
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to breakfast and a “Public Reading of Scripture” every Friday morning. \nThe Public Reading of Scripture helped God’s people remember who God is\, who they were\, and who they are called to be. This practice was so important to Paul that in 1 Timothy 4:13\, he instructed all to “… devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture\, to preaching and to teaching.” Come eat\, listen\, and share in this historic practice with us weekly at the women’s residence. \nMade possible by the Grace and Mercy Foundation

SUMMARY:AI and The Common Good
DESCRIPTION:Artificial Intelligence is now a basic part of daily life\, supporting our health\, directing government services\, shaping relationships\, and even ordering our spiritual lives. As AI becomes more widespread amidst scandals over its misuse\, public trust in technology companies has declined. How can we ensure that AI serves the common good? Can Christian insights on personhood\, beneficence\, and justice provide wisdom to guide those who design\, use\, and govern AI systems? \nOn June 23\, join leading experts Roz Picard of MIT and Nathan Matias of Cornell University for a stimulating conversation about these critical questions\, co-sponsored by the Octet Collaborative at MIT and Chesterton House at Cornell. \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event will be held on Zoom only.\n\n\nRegister Here
