Christine Kwak made her Lincoln Center debut at the Avery Fisher Hall at age 9. By age 11, she had performed at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, and she had recorded the complete 24 Caprices by Paganini. Since then, she has performed with orchestras internationally, and she has been recognized by Strad magazine as “the most promising talent of the next generation.” She is a graduate of the Julliard School where she studied under the late Dorothy DeLay, and she is currently a Cornell faculty member teaching music in NYC. Christine will be accompanied by her father (violin) and mother (piano) who founded the Solisti Ensemble which performed at Cornell last year. You can learn more about Christine’s musical accomplishments on her website: www.christinekwak.com.
The concert is free and open to the public. Public parking closest to Sage Chapel may be found in the lots behind Willard Straight and Anabel Taylor Halls and in the garage between Schoelkopf and Hoy Fields.
