Christians are called to be faithful. But are we also called to be fruitful? Although some believe that faithfulness is all that matters, others disagree. For our last Friday Conversation, we will be discussing the very practical matter of the role of planning in business and ministry, and we are are very privileged to have as our guest author, consultant, and start-up entrepreneur Rich McDaniel.

McDaniel attended Wheaton College, and received an MPA ’74, and MBA ’78 from Cornell. McDaniel has devoted his career to studying and leading positive change at Cornell, in companies that he has co-founded, and other organizations where he has served as a leader. He has 30 years of experience in strategic planning and formerly served as Cornell University Vice President of Business Services & Environmental Safety. He previously served as Director of The Cornell Store and Director of Cornell Business Services. He has also guest lectured on multiple occasions in the Johnson Graduate School of Management, mostly focused on e-business developments. He has worked closely with management authors such as Dr. Ken Blanchard and Dr. Rod Napier.

He is involved in the leadership of his church and served for 13 years on the board of Biblical Theological Seminary.

His homepage states: “As an individual McDaniel consciously seeks to live out his Christian worldview with integrity, regularly devoting a significant portion of his time and resources to serving others.”
