What does it mean to live a good or “happy” life? Many throughout human history have believed pleasure to be the most important organizing principle to answer this question. Christians meanwhile have had varied and complicated views of pleasure, its varieties, and its role in the ultimate meaning of life. Join us in conversation with New Testament scholar Max Lee explores how Paul’s understanding of pleasure compares with his naturalist opponents, and how for Paul, sex, prayer, and the path toward God are deeply related.
