Roger Steele has worked with a Christian nongovernmental humanitarian and development organization, World Vision, for the past 6 years as an Evaluation and Capacity Building Specialist. He lives and works in Ithaca (relying more and more on virtual Internet-based technologies) when not traveling on an international assignment to one of the almost 100 WV national offices. Prior to joining World Vision, Roger was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educaiton at Cornell (5 years) and a Program Officer for an agricultural development NGO, Winrock International (8 years), based in Arkansas. He earned a Ph.D. degree from Michigan State University, B.S./M.S. degrees from Purdue and an M.A. degree from Wheaton College Graduate School. Roger and his family are members of Bethel Grove Bible Church.
