Join as you can for our Just Show Up book club!
Just Show Up (JSU) Book Club is a book club without homework where people gather to read, listen, and discuss great books together. No need to commit to joining every week, the beauty of JSU book clubs is that you can jump in at any point and there is no preparation required! Participants can join in-person or via Zoom.
We will meet every Wednesday at 115 The Knoll, beginning on September 3rd.
On October 29th, we will begin our next book: The Abolition of Man by C.S. Lewis
The Abolition of Man discusses why we shouldn’t always listen to only reason and cut out our emotions. Lewis argues that reason without emotion there is not a reality. He debunks arguments that the purist form of reason is instinct, that benevolent actions will be found through pursuing science, and that science will be the best moral compass for mankind to follow. Lewis proves that moral absolutes do exist and they are universal throughout all of time.
Join us for dessert at 115 The Knoll for a time of reading and discussion together!
