Patristics JSU is a more advanced reading and discussion group focused on church history and historical theology that requires no homework or preparation. We read for 40 to 45 minutes out loud together, followed by 15 to 20 minutes of discussion. We are currently working through Robert Louis Wilken’s now classic book, The First Thousand Years, and pairing readings from primary source texts that correspond to chapters from Wilken’s work.
