Questions of sexuality and gender are not merely theoretical or abstract questions of theology and ethics, but connect with our deeply personal longings and (often) hidden suffering. Wesley Hill, an accomplished New Testament scholar, author of the 2015 Paul and the Trinity from Eerdmans Press, has spent years approaching these questions with theological skill and pastoral sensitivity. In his acclaimed 2010 book Washed and Waiting, Hill gave an eloquent reflection of his own experience as a celibate gay Christian, and his subsequent 2015 book Spiritual Friendship further explored the positive role that Christ-centered chaste friendships could play in celibate gay Christians’ lives.

Join us in conversation with Wesley to hear his reflections on the life of discipleship and how it relates to cultural conflicts around sexual ideology.
