By reading approximately 8.3% of the Bible every month (about 3 chapters a day) you can intentionally move through the entire Bible at a steady and manageable pace in one year!

You can read on your own or with others—Bible studies, small groups, or a friend. We welcome you to join us at any point of the year.

How to start:

1. Download the PRS Bible app to track your Bible reading through the percentage tracker. Click HERE for instructions.
2. Sign up and submit your first screenshot HERE: upload a screenshot of your percentage tracker at your starting point (e.g., 0%, or a higher percentage if you began earlier in January). This confirms your starting point and registers you for THE BIBLE 8.3.

To track progress and encourage consistency, we will recognize and celebrate milestones along the way!

• Each time you make 8.3% progress from your last submission, submit a screenshot of your percentage tracker to claim your next gift card.
• Use the same form for all milestone submissions.
• We will verify the difference between your current percentage and your previous submission.

🏆 Keep Going, Even if You’re Behind: You may submit milestones at each 8.3% of progress to claim your gift card, even if you’re not keeping pace with the one-year reading plan. Progress counts no matter what!

Participants will receive a $5 gift card to Gimme Coffee for reaching their first milestone. Gifts may vary (and possibly increase!) with every new milestone. Stay tuned!

Pick-up for gift cards will occur before and after every Public Reading of Scripture event, which occur multiple times a week throughout the semester. Check HERE for the current schedule. Submissions continue over summer and winter break, but pick-ups will be paused until Public Reading of Scripture sessions resume.

Looking for an easy way to stay on track?

Public Reading of Scripture sessions count toward your progress. If you come to all three sessions of our Public Reading of Scripture, you will be on track to finish the entire Bible in one year!

You can select any one-year reading plan that works best for you! If you are uncertain where to start, consider one of the following options:

• Biblica Reading Plan
  • The Biblica Reading Plan includes both the Old and New Testament each day, as well as a Psalm or a Proverb.
• Public Reading of Scripture 2025: 20-min Audio Bible Plan
  • For an audio Bible, this plan will take you through the whole Bible in 295 days, giving you 70 days of grace in case you miss a day.
• Navigators Book-at-a-Time Bible Reading Plan
  • The Navigators Plan takes you through the entire Bible in one year, providing two readings for each day. The first reading alternates between Old and New Testament books with the Gospels spread throughout the year. The second reading takes you through a chapter of the wisdom literature and the book of Isaiah.

• For participants following the Catholic Bible (including the deuterocanonical books), you can listen to The Bible in a Year.
  • The Bible in a Year podcast by Fr. Mike Schmitz, guides listeners through the entire Bible in 365 daily episodes, combining Scripture readings with context, teachings, and reflections.
